The Lava (volcanic stone) tables offered by Affanato & Co. are produced by our artisans in southern Italy and Tuscany. The volcanic stone used for these tables is carved from deep within ancient caves in Italy, individually shaped and smoothed, and then skillfully hand-painted in a variety of beautiful colors and designs. Volcanic stone tables can withstand high temperatures, are scratch and stain resistant and the colors will not fade due to exposure to heat or sun.
Top Qualities of Volcanic Stone –
Lava stone has a natural ability to dissipate heat very well, meaning that hot pans can be placed directly on the surface without damage.
Nonporous. The material is impervious to water, won’t harbor bacteria, and is stain resistant.

PRODUCTION TIME –
At Affanato & Company, we have a limited inventory in our showroom. Most of our items are made to order. We ask for a 40-day production time on most items.
CANCELLATION POLICY –
Orders placed through Affanato & Company enter the production queue very quickly. For us to produce and ship your item(s) to you as soon as possible, orders cannot be modified or cancelled once it is in production.
RETURN POLICY –
We accept returns on items that arrive damaged upon delivery.
If an item arrives damaged from us and the carton is visibly damaged while still in the hands of the delivery courier, please notify the courier as to the damage, for the damage to be noted on their delivery report. Please keep all of the packaging that came with the item. Photograph the inside and the outside of the box as part of the documentation needed to validate the damage. Contact Affanato & Company.com within 5 days of receipt of the package. We will send instructions to you via email as to the procedure to replace the item at no charge, or to issue a merchandise credit to you for the item.
We will not be able to offer credit for or replacement of damaged merchandise if damage is not reported to us within 5 days of receipt.
International Shipments & Service Area
We offer shipping to all 50 United States as well as across the world; however we cannot deliver to P.O. Box locations or APO/FPO addresses..
PLEASE NOTE: Affanato & Company is NOT responsible for import duties, taxes or other special fees (VAT) associated with shipping. If your shipment is assessed VAT, an invoice with explanation of these charges will be sent from the carrier directly to you.
TRACKING YOUR ORDER-
After your order is shipped, you will receive an email confirmation notifying you that your order is on its way, and a tracking number will be provided to you at this time. If you order multiple items they may ship separately. Please allow 24-48 hours for the tracking information to be updated.
Partial Tracking Information or your Shipment
To speed delivery, some shippers may not location-scan all of their shipments. When shipping volume is high, packages are processed in bulk, and the first time a package is scanned may be upon arrival at a regional hub near the destination, or even when the package is delivered. If you don’t see any tracking data for your shipment, please do not be concerned. When you receive your Shipment Confirmation Email, your order has been shipped.
